Instant Dreadlocks... what method is this and where can I get this done?

i'm a young guy out of college college who's pretty active physically + soon to be working in corporate settings, so i don't really have the time to go through the "phases" of dread maturation like the last time i started them.

i've had coils in but based on my level of daily physical activity i absolutely have to wash my hair everyday...

this seems pretty cool and definitely the way i'd want to start my locks (can wash daily too), but it seems like most people do coils or two strand twists to start off.

are there places in nyc or philly that do this?

I don't know that there are places in NYC or philly that do this, but you could try starting with backcombed dreads. They pretty much, sort of, end up the same way.

I agree it's a fantastic way to start, but they guy in this video I believe is somewhere on the continent of Africa. You could always inbox message him on YouTube to see if he has any suggestions.
