Cool Unlocking My Locs After 11 Years

Heyyyy! So it's been a hot (emphasis on "hot") minute since I posted on Nappturality, but I'd like to share with you all a video that documents a bit of my unlocking process.

    A little history:

    • After growing my loose natural hair for two years, I began my locking journey in 2005
    • In December 2015, I decided to cut my hair into a loc bob (see below)

After a few years of pondering, I decided I wanted to go back to my loose natural hair...

    And here we are!

Let me know if you have any questions!

Heyyy Raven!!! I'm loving it! I won't lie. Every time I see a sista with some gorgeous locs, I get a bit sentimental lol.

Hey there, Cheleski!! I'm digging the loose life! I had to get back used to actually "doing" my hair. You know, the whole detangling, moisturizing, and waking up earlier than I'm used to life lol.

I admire folks who can stay loose. I took down my first set (2008-2012) and within 6 months I was starting another set. I got the itch to loc again after 6 weeks, but I really tried to hold out. I forgot how much work loose hair was. I was always a wash n go kinda gal, but when I moved to colder climates I realized I didn't have the time, patience, or skills for loose hair. I am ready to take down the set I have now, but I'd just put another set back in LOL... We will see what happens...
    God Bless!
