I like black soap so far. I'm also still liking Herbal Essenses Hello Hydration. Cheap and smells good.

I have love every bar I've tried from Chagrin Valley. My hair and scalp tend to like the natural shampoo bars. Most other things make my scalp itch like heck.

Question: I had been washing my locs with Tresemme's deep cleanse (for build up). Yesterday, I used it to clean out the soap scum on my porcelain tub and the tub looks better than it did when I moved into the place. That made me wonder about what this product is doing to my hair (too much, over stripping the hair?)

I'm still figuring out a shampoo/condition routine for my locs. I've browsed the threads re. dry locs and when to shampoo but I'm still kind of lost....

Thanks in advance for the guidance.

I'm a fan of black soap also as it gets the job done and can also be used to wash my body and face. For those who might be more sensitive to traditional black bar soap, there's a company called alaffia that makes a fab liquid black soap.....and they're fair trade too I believe

I do believe we have tons of minerals in the water here in the mountains, so I think it seems to remove the haze from my hair. Also I am constantly in the pool working out. It has all natural ingredients so I feel ok to use it daily.

Any moisturizing shampoo. I will try the Shea Moisture line soon. I don't jump on the band wagon often but so many peeps like it that I want to try it at least once.

I just simply use whatever shampoo I see on sale.

Other than that, I do an ACV rinse every couple months or so and I also appreciate black soap.

I haven't had a minty soap in a while. I swear, a wash with one feels too damn amazing.
