Um, my simple rule is, if you focus more on the HEALTH of your hair, the GROWTH will come, which means PATIENCE! I'm not trying to sound sarcastic lol, but seriously, hair does grow, there is no such thing as a miracle grow product that makes your hair grow faster than it usually would with or without it. At most the average person grows about 1/2 an inch a month, sometimes not even that much, so be patient and eventually your hair will be long and healthy.

I know mymy said it already, but I wanna go into depth.. A good diet. Think about it this way.. when you eat a burger or something that doesn't have many nutrients in it, the rest of your body gets it first, and whats left goes to your hair. So, if you eat some fruits and veggies and other good things, and your body gets what it needs, the rest goes to your hair. So, eating right is always key.. Just think of it that way.

And of course, patience.. Your hair will grow whether you want it to go fast or not! Look at people's pictures.. from 5 month to like a year, it grows! It may take long, but it grows. Like a plant, you know..? Or, like a baby! lol! Use love and tenderness, care and patience, and you shall have what you seek!.. eventually!

I've heard of the Moes recipe.
    What else is out there?
    [/b]

I don't think anyone else mentioned it yet, but massaging the scalp helps your hair to grow. It stimulates the follicles! So, if you don't have time to make Moe's growth oil, you can find some other kind of oil mix (the less chemicals the better) from the store, and massage that onto your scalp often.

EDIT:: And does anyone know anything for bumps and scars!!? [/b]
my sis just gave me some oil for scars... its natural and feels great. I'll try to post the ingredients tomorrow. as she the bottle at her house. But, also, massaging the skin to stimulate the skin cells to rejuvenate themselves, could help!

your right except..Hamburger (im assuming your talking about beef) actually CONTRIBUTES to growth it is a very good source of vitamins including B-5 (stimulates hair growth) B-12 (does the same) Iron (helps reduce balding)and even Selenium (stengthens hair strand) it just goes to show protein and Veggies are BOTH need for excellent Hair Growth...To OP i also find water helps cleanse my skin and i would THINK it would help cleanse your whole body on the inside which would contribute to overall health (hair included).

Bhringraj Oil has been reported to be just as effective if not better than minoxidil. I read this on another hair forum. You can make your own or buy it from the Indian store. All you need to do is infuse your favorite oil with the powder.
