Need A Loc Buddy In The Chicagoland Area

I'm going to Lockology on Saturday to get my locs started. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time. My hair is long because I have been twisting it for about 3 years now and my hairline is weak. I need a hair buddy for support as I start this journey. All advice welcomed.

Hi! I'm here in Chicago. Congrats on your decision to loc! This is my 10th month but I started with short hair. I can be your loc buddy if you want. The only advice I can give you is to make sure they don't gunk up your hair with alot of product. It isn't necessary and it will cause buildup. Also, enjoy the journey and relax! Your hair will loc if you don't comb it.

Thanks for responding and for agreeing to be my loc buddy. I will remember to talk to my loctition about only using products that are necessary. Thanks for the advice! I'll tell you how it went after my appoinment.
