What the difference between all the different "types" of locs (i.e. Sisterlocs, braidlocs, dreadlocs, etc) or is there even a difference. What type do you have? i am still in the twa stage and do not plan to get loc for a while..but i do want to get them one day. Just wonder what the most popular type was and what they different types look like. Thanks for you help

Here's some info to get you started:
The Dreadlock Bible
The site is a little busy-looking, but in the middle of the page, there's a list of about a dozen different "types" of locs, with info and pics. (I use the word "type" loosely, because IMO, locs are locs. The only difference is how you start and maintain them)
I have sisterlocks.~ Last re.laxer 7.99 ~ Chop 7.00 ~ Locs 2.03 ~

Pictures of my locs

I started with two-strand twists.... The issue is not even how to start them but how to maintain them. I've had them for 6 months and I have using protein gel and palm rolling them. Now I'm trying to pick up some different ways of maintaining them.

I'm new here and this is my very first post on the forum (yay). I really like it here, very nice forum.
I have braidlocs and I've had them for almost a year.

I started mine with two strand twists and I am eight months in. I maintain my own locs... and I am also enjoying the locing experience.
