Hello everyone!

I haven't posted on this site in years, but have lurked quite a bit in the meantime. Anyway, I have been nappy and permed and back again over the past four years, and right now I am 2 years natural again after shaving my head bald. Anyway...the reason why I go back and forth is 1) because I get bored with my hair easily and 2) because I just don't like my hair all that much.

I get so frustrated when I see women on this site with thick, luxurious fro's and twists and my hair will NEVER look like that. I am genetically predisposed to having this fine hair I can't do anything with. When my hair was locked, my locs were thin and flat. And now I have twists that are also looking flimsy. Can anyone on this site with thin/fine texured hair tell me some styles to help add the illusion of fullness. I mean, my hair is healthy...but it's just not ever going to be thick hair I wish I had. Help me out ladies, I'm losing it!

There is atleast one, but maybe two threads for nappies with thin/fine hair.

You should do a search in this forum using the key words "fine/thin hair"

    Hope that helps.

Fine, thin-hair natural? That's me (raising my hand)! I add volume to my fine hair by rollersetting it on magnetic rollers. Once my hair's dry, I remove the rollers, separate the curled hair and proceed with two-strand twists. Once the twists are removed the next day or two my hair is voluminous and full of body.

No problem. That's why doing a search first is helpful and preferable. You can always ask questions in the existing thread if you don't find the information you need.
