how do YOU retain length? do you do protective styling, low manipulation or just leave it out?

I retain length by wearing my hair in protective styles (mainly twists), washing my hair regularly (helps with moisture and keeps my scalp happy), and keeping my hair moisturized. I use shealoe when I twist my hair and if it starts to feel a little dry I spritz my hair for moisture. When I comb my hair I am very gentle and take my time. Overall, I have been retaining length well since I started keeping my routine simple and wearing protective styles.

I just keep my ends well moisturized and I don’t manipulate my hair too much. Very low maintenance.

I retain length by leaving my hair alone.

Ive retained length by keeping my hair in protective styles. I dont manipulate it often. I also use products that contribute to the health of my hair.

Mostly from just washing it, moisturizing, protective styling, and leaving it alone. The protective styling just became a new step for me. Before I just washed, moisturized, and left it alone.
