I have a male friend that has locs almost to his shoulders. He said he definitely cannot go the durag route anymore and wants to know how he should tie his hair up. I'm not sure if I should tell a dude to tie his head up in a silk rag like Aunt Jemima before getting in bed with his wife. What should he use to cover his head?

    There's also the Dread Sock.

If he doesn't want to put anything on his head, he can try sleeping on satin pillow cases. I've never tried it, but I saw that they sell some pretty cheap ones in the beauty supply.

i've thought about lock/dread socs. but honestly, i don't wear anything on my head.

nothing seems to stay or it gets on my nerves. and i don't have the $$ to experiment.

I have a loc/dread soc thingy. It works but I need a new one now that my locs are longer.

I felt that the dreadsock was expensive for what it looks like it is.

I am thinking about going to a fabric store and making my own, it can't be that hard to do.

Right now I am using a regular satin sleep cap, but since I already had BSL hair before I loc'd, the sleep cap really is crunching my locks up at night...
    God Bless!
