Random Lock Thoughts

Another spin off...all the loose naps are having fun! I thought we need our own random thread...

I think I had a random growth spurt cos I'm amazed at how long you've grown. I'm really going to have to get creative and learn how to style you guys... :wub:

I'm not sure about colouring my locks or not, they are turning brown...I've received compliments on this...but I'm not sure how I feel about it.

So I washed my baby locs and decided to try finger latching because I have a few REALLY loose areas in the front and on the side. I finger latched my whole head...started around 6 or 6:30pm on Saturday and finished around 3am Sunday! I didn't think it would take so long! I wonder if I should try my boyfriend's loctitian?? Should I just go back to twisting the roots instead? I didn't want them too tight...they're not latched tightly to my scalp (there's still a little space/puff of loose hair)...my scalp is a little sore but it was like that when I twisted my roots. LOL, one of my locs are sticking up funny from the latching. Lawd, I hope I'm doing this right!

ok so I've been cooking a lot lately with onions, and no matter how often I wash my finger tips still smelly a bit oniony... this is enough deterrent for locpaw :lol:

I am tempted to pick 3 random locs and make them blonde. I love this look on other people, but I am afraid of damaging those 3 locs! Any opinions? :unsure:

I bleached some of my locs and they turned out great. Now I have brown locs with blond highlights. (Sorry I don't have pictures). Words of Advice: Afterwards, make sure you moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. If you keep the dyed locs oiled and supple, then they'll be fine. If you're sure you want to dye your locs, then do it, otherwise you will just keep thinking about it until you do. Trust me; I've been there and done that!

Random Thoughts: my locs are in love with my ears :wub:. They're now long enough to reach the tips of my earlobes, but they are always going inside of my ears and it drives me crazy. My ears are constantly itching. People at work are going to start thinking I have an ear infection. Maybe I should keep some hair pins with me to hold them back

my boyfriend just moved on Feb. 1st to a new house that he shares with his best friend / roomate who is a smoker. After sleeping over at his crib for the last few days I am super paranoid about my locs smelling like smoke.
Just tie it down he says.. ?!?!?
Um... my hair HATES to be tied down!
so he was looking at me all crazy like.. "um your hair told u that right!" (dripping with sarcasm)
Now i am at work sniffing my hair like a crazy person for real.
I've already caught 2 coworkers looking at me with the "what the heck is she doing face"
sigh......
