So loctitian twisted my hair back up...I'm glad that I cleared out all the matted hair and the areas where I finger latched it. If I hadn't, I probably would've been there all day (and the next morning) again.

I'm not really feeling the way my hair looks now since I lost so much of it (flat against my head and shorter). <_< But it'll grow back. Maybe I'll rock a T-shirt headwrap for a while.

My mother was playing in my head yesterday. Pulling and stroking and rubbing. It felt so good. I didn't think she would approve of me locking my hair but she has embraced it all the way. Her playing in it took me back to the days when I used to sit between her knees while she was braiding my hair. I miss those days, but yesterday I felt the love all over again.

Pollen season has arrived--greenish yellow powder everywhere and all over everything outdoors. I don't think prolonged rinsing will be a match for this. I'll be wearing light, gauzy scarves as headwraps for the next few weeks, which I'm looking forward to because I have built up a pretty nice collection.

My locs are not behaving as I want them to, nor are they behaving the way sisterlocks should. Yet I love every straggly, weird coil on my head.

I don't even know what my locs are doing or if this is how they should look...they're UGLY.
I'm getting frustrated with my hair and thinking about just throwing in the towel.

Babykinks, for spiral curls, try using the spine part of foam rollers. The smooth plastic won't get stuck. Also, after every 2 or 3 revolutions, push down the hair so that the spiral is really compact.

my locs have grown long and i still don't know what to do with them. mainly it is because i am so tenderheaded. i have been playing with ponies or half ponies but only manage to make it a few hours. i have been toying with the idea of cutting them to my shoulders but they were annoying at that length for other reasons. they are good neck warmers though.
7 year locs, relaxing and enjoying life
