No it does not. I condish with it now. That is the lovely thing about vinegar. You can wash your hair with it or you can use it to condish. I use castor oil with it.

I just started using black soap. I use dudu osen. I was using it on my clients for a while so I bought some to sell in the salon. I kept one to use for myself. It is one of my faves now.
I am back to no poo. Feels good to be back!Last edited by Natural Stylist; 12-25-2011 at 07:00 PM.

I don't use shampoo or conditioner. I wash my hair with herbs (e.g. rosemary boiled in water & strained through a brita filter), twice a week. I rinse ~2-3x a week. I henna monthly. Henna has antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal properties. Rosemary and lavender have antiseptic properties as well.
There are natural ways to clean & condition the hair and scalp. Often commercial shampoos are "infused" with and inspired by herbs. Not sure why I never thought to simply use the herb.
I don't oil my hair/scalp. Content with the natural oils my scalp produces and don't have dandruff or itchy scalp. The rosemary keeps my hair very soft as it's a natural conditioner. I drink plenty of water and rinse often, which keeps my hair moisturized.
I'm only 2 months into locing. Just trying the no-poo track. So far, I'm pleased.Last edited by cheeky; 12-26-2011 at 06:16 PM.

I stopped using baking soda and now I use Dr. Bronner's unscented castile soap bar followed by prolonged rinsing everyday. Every couple of days I do a herbal tea rinse. Once my hair starts to loc (in the baby stage now) I will be doing strickly herbal tea rinses daily.
