I thought this blog was so sweet - I wish more families would support their children's natural hair journey. I really appreciate fact that they aren't black and are still so supportive...

Thanks for the link. I've only read the first post from August and my mouth dropped. This woman did what she could for her child and the stylist told her in front of her child she had bad hair!!!! WTF!!!
People need to take what stylists say with a grain of salt.

I love it. ^_^ Thanks for sharing. I was wondering for a while if my fiancee was in a group of a rare breed of white people, who support and try to understand the natural hair care journey especially since we have been talking about children recently. It is great to know he is not alone.

That is a cool blog. I've met a number of white families like that in Colorado. Many of them have adopted Haitian children and one woman took the Sisterlocks Consultant class with me.

There is hope.

that family should have guest-hosted Tyra Banks show on "Good Hair". They are obviously more educated on the subject

I love how much her locks have thickened up. Locking is great in general, but watching them mature is beautiful.

I'm glad that she is taking the time out to educate herself about our hair. It's refreshing to see that! Kudos to her!
