Find another stylist. This person doesn't know what he/she is talking about. Semi-permanent color will work on all hair, natural or permed.

That is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.

As chachadiva states, find another stylist...

i'd do a strand test. semi permanent doesn;t work on my natural hair AT ALL. i'd put it on, leave it on and whn it was time to rinse the entire application would rinse out  i did have a better go of it when i was relaxed but it would wash out in like 3 -4 washes instead of the first one

i agree with GalaxyGirl, semi permanent colors would never show up on my hair either. but i do think the indigo might work-i've seen some lovely results while lurking on another forum.
