Ditto to Kiana7!!!!
We can't always choose the thoughts that come to our minds, but we can decide to let them stay and fester or we can push them aside. We have a choice about that.

Why do you cover your hair at night?? Is it for lint? I use a satin pillow case and there is no lint. So why are you covering the hair? Please let me know...
I always sleep with a satin pillow case now, but I usually tie my hair down mainly because I want to keep it out of my face... sometimes I just pull it back and go to sleep w/o covering it... but covering my hair at night is just a habit I guess

1. Eat well and exercise! Drink plenty of water. Be careful of what you put into your body and what you expose your body to. I don't think people realize just how important this one is. If eyes are the windows to the soul, then natural hair tells all yo' bidness! :coffee
I'd also add:
- Avoid any product that's completely solid at room temp (beeswax, shea, etc.)
- Herbal and ACV rinses work wonders!
- Realize that you only have so much control over the process--regardless of how you start your locs, or how often you retwist, latch, etc., frizz, fuzz and rebellion are all part of it.
- Water is your hair's best friend!~ Last re.laxer 7.99 ~ Chop 7.00 ~ Locs 2.03 ~

Ditto all that's said, op just wanna add: Make Sure when you wrap-up at night, that it's silk or satin NOT Cotton {and I just LOVE me some Cotton Fabric} Cotton will take ALL the moisture out your hair!

OK...here are my five tips...
1. Love :heart the process, and not what you "think" it should be. :huh
2. Photos...photos...photos...(I only notice changes while looking at my pictures.)
3. Washing...I wash often, and my locs love it.
4. Pamper your locs sometimes...I do hot oil treatments, scalp massages, and spritz daily.
5. K.I.S.S. ... Keep It Simple ****** :-cre (ok, I'm a bit corny and don't like using the last word) Locing is a natural, carefree process. However, it does take some participation but the hair needs very little assistance. Don't weigh your hair down with unnecessary products, and have fun!!! :bis
I am still under a year into this...(but in June we will be 1!)..I have learned a lot over this past year... :blah :blah :blah
OK...I'm back to the bat cave :cow:
