I recently launched an online magazine called Think based on sustainable design. Please share your business here, either you're in the start up phase or newly launched or you've had your business for the more than a year. I'd love to get to know the types of business' that are on this site.

Hi Directordiva! I have a freelance writing service called Mocha Writer. I write articles for magazines, newspapers and websites, and I also write for startups, small businesses and other entrepreneurs.

I hope to start my own sewing business with an emphasis on high style but modest cuts. Women should'nt have to pin plunging necklines and sew up high slits.

That's great, we're in the same field. How are things going, I hope it's really well for you. I'm hoping there will be enough entries on this thread that will allow for us to support each other as we build our business.

Hello Everyone!

I am currently in the process of re-branding my Graphic Design business. It was called by another name, but I found Elley-Gee Creative was the best fit!

I am on Elance.com, which I shared in another thread. It is a way for web/graphic/marketing creatives to bid on jobs around the world! I believe it could work for Freelance Writers, it couldn't hurt to check it out

!

I am also launching an LGBT greeting cards line, after some market research everything out there is so crass and sleazy. So, I am trying to do something for the community that offers the class of Hallmark without anyone having to compromise who they are! (E-cards and Printed)

So funny you talk about marketing services.

I have been in business for sometime now [akuawood.co.uk]. I have 3 angles to my business:
1. handmade natural toiletries
2. handmade beaded jewellery
3. supplying ingredients

I make all the products for 1 & 2.

I will look into Issuu as I think it is cool.

You're right things are v. slow at the moment, hence being on here

We're looking for more writers to contribute, sadly no pay at present as selling ads for the magazine has been challenging given the media's market. But happy to publish others work for added portfolio enhancing.
