    Default Frizzy Hair!

Hi guys! I have been transitioning for about almost 4 months and have a about 2+ inches of new growth. I don't plan on doing a big chop. But I have been wearing my hair in individual braids using my own hair and they last about 2 weeks. But the problem I have is after a few days I feel the need to wash it, but I know when I wash it, the new growth will frizz up and I'll have all kinds of frizzies and it just won't look right, so I'll end up having to take it down. But now I have some in, and I haven't washed it in almost 2 weeks. I'll go wash it right after this actually. But Is there a way I can wash my hair and not frizz up all over the place?

The only frizzing I had was my relaxed ends, maybe you should try braid outs.

You could try covering your braids with a stocking cap before you wash them it will help cut down on the frizzes not 100% though. You may want to try another style than braids.

Or after you are done lightly rub a bit of gel (eg: aloe vera gel) down each braid, like the stocking cap it'll help but not completly solve the problem.

    Good luck

after you wash your braids, smooth some non-drying gel or a moisturizing pomade over them and tie a silk scarf over your head while your hair dries. that should lay down the frizzies some. HTH

Someone suggested that using a stocking cap when washing and conditioning your hair would assist with calming the frizzies, not saying that it will completely solve the problem but it would bring it down.
