decorating
I dont have a decorating bone in my body. We just bought a house a year ago and all I have is three pictures on the wall. I really want to make our house a home but dont know where to start. Anybody have any ideas.
Walls- off white
curtains in living room - maroon-gold
curtains in dinning room - beige, same in my room, sons room and daughters is blue.
kitchen have green curtains.Mophead

Ive seen some really good designs on fotki and youtube. Fotki'er AnaisKarim has really beautiful interior decor designs. Kimmaytube on youtube has another channel about home decorating and renovations

One day I will have my own house and I will decorate it just like the picture below. I never could've thought of this on my own but seeing pictures of rooms inspires me so much. Maybe if you hit some Ikea, BlissLiving Home or Brylane Home catalogs you could grab some ideas from there.

I would also recommend calling a local home stager in your area and ask if they do re-designs. As a stager myself, I would normally charge 250.00 -500.00 for home redesign. The stager would ask about your style, offer color suggestions and then shop for accessories to complete the look.

The first thing you want to do is find a style that matches your house. Is your house a modern design or a classical one? What kind of yard do you have ( for example, is it flat, hilly, does it have tres or shrubs, about how big is it)? Can you post a picture of the front of it and a few of the rooms inside? If you can, I can probably help you figure out a style that's right for it and you.
