    Default Detangling in Shower

When you detangle is it normal 4 some hair to come out in the comb? I detangle in shower as that's the only way I can really get my hair combed through, its not painful at all, i just don't like the hair getting snagged and coming out at the ends, what can I do to reduce and or eliminate the hair snaggs when detangling?? thanks

i never could detangle in the shower, but yeah it's normal to see some hair coming out. BUT if there is no follicle [white bulb] at the end, it is breakage and not normal shedding. general rules of thumb of course are to start from the ends and carefully work your way up. you could also secure the detangled sections so they are out of the way when you move onto the the next spot.

Lately, I have noticed breakage while detangling in the shower (this is b/c of previous medication effects). The MAJOR place where I detangle is in my shower. It helps to allow the full force of water to spray directly on the section being detangled (detangling comb or Denman, & that's 1/month). The only other time that I may detangle (and that is with fingers only) is when I twist or braid sections at night.

Try using a bigger/wider toothed comb and using your fingers more.
