So far I haven't found anything else that can stand up to sub freezing weather, even my butters can't handle that....

Dammit! My bottle of black castor oil broke in my gym bag (yes, I know, I should have moved it to a plastic bottle anyway.) I was planning on getting the lavender Jamaican black castor oil, but has anyone tried it?
I ask because I found some on eBay and, yes, I'm being cheap.
Help me out. In the meantime, I'll just use the regular stuff, which is in a plastic bottle and didn't explode."The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it." - Chinese Proverb

Jamaican Black Castor Oil - X Dark
I finally found the popular black castor oil, but no one told me that this stuff smells so bad. It smells like you have been smoking something other than tobacco....LOL! Can't have that! I thought it may be like shea butter and the odor will disappear after a little while, but no this smell sticks around....so, I added some drops of peppermint oil to cover it up. Does anyone know if this will cause problems when it comes to hair growth.....

I'm using it to stimulate hair growth. It works. I added cinnamon oil, which is also supposed to help regrow hair. It does stink unless you add something to it. Peppermint oil is also known for hair regrowth.

I've smelled some smelly products in my natural journey but honestly I don't think the JBCO is that bad as some people make it out to be
. I guess maybe it's because I use it sparingly why I don't notice a bad smell. Adding an essential oil such as peppermint will definitely give it a more refreshing blend.

I use the JBCO. It does have a strong smokey (roasted peanuts) smell, but it is not that bad to me too. When I use it, I sparingly apply it my scalp at night. After a few minutes, the smell goes away. My hair has gotten thicker.
