That's Cynthia! I was really skeptical of her methods in the beginning but now I'm sold.
That said, my strands are finer than hers, and I'd probably have to comb with a comb a little more often if I had her length.
Now that my hair is short, I only take a comb to it once a month or so. The rest of the time it's fingers all the way.Hello, 2021. Glad to see you. Hope you're bringing us goodness and light this year!

I detangle every time I wash my hair which can be every one or two weeks, depending on how my twists look.
I wet my hair, put it into sections and put conditioner in each section and then after I put the conditioner in a section I detangle with a wide tooth comb. Then I co-wash. Then I put in leave-in conditioner and finger comb.

I lightly finger detangle in the shower once or twice a week.
I use a shower comb about every other week...
I used to be a hardcore denman user, i thought I had to detangle every time I co-washed with my denman....but one time I just rinsed my hair and used my fingers because I was too lazy to step outta the shower to get the brush, after I was done I liked how my hair looked and felt without it..so I stopped using it and bought a shower comb instead.
I didnt like how much hair was left in the brush...with the shower comb I hardly see any hair and my hair is detangled in about 4 minutes or less and my hair is springier and happier.

It really depends on how pressed I am for time.
Sometimes I run my Ouidad double deangler comb through...sometimes I'm rushing and run a finger or two through it. It's true though, my curls look better if I don't comb it.

I finger detangle each time I wash, a couple of times per week right now. I rarely use my comb, and I'll grab that brush when I have something serious to tackle.
She does it every 2-3 weeks and feels like that's what keeps her curls in tact.

Well, if I comb my hair when it's wet, whatever clumps I have turn into complete frizz and/or loses definition. This lead me to believe I didn't have any back when I combed more often. But when I wash my hair clumps & I see curls all over. So if I want to wear my hair more curly, I can't comb it...else I lose them. It doesn't matter if I re-wet it either...if I recently combed no amount of rewetting or products bring them back out. My hair kind of has to "settle". For example, after a couple days of my spritzing every day if I reinse my hair then it might start to clump again. But for the life of my I can't get it to clump if I've just combed it.
Maybe this is what she meant? Idk.

I used to condition and detangle my hair with a wide tooth comb every morning. I notice that I was having a lot of shedding. Upon the advice of a girlfriend I no longer use a comb to detangle my hair. I detangled with conditioner in my hair using my finger once a week. I now have less shedding.

NEVER! I love to finger comb, it's like so intimate... well maybe for me. I love the fact that I can touch and feel for problems like tangles and knots. If you use a comb or brush it's easy to break or over look that section that can be easily untangled with your hands rather than raking through it. Maybe I'm biased... but I love to finger comb.
HAPPY TO BE NAPPY ... TOTALLY ME , WHAT ELSE WOULD I RATHER BE ?!
