Staple Products for moisture?
I was wondering what are some staple products you all use to keep your hair well moisturized and soft? I've used a variety of products, just haven't come across something that gives my hair enough moisture. after washing and what not my ends usually look a little crazy IMO. even after i've just gotten a trim. I usually shampoo and condition once a week, then dc with neutrogena daily moisture, apply a cantu shea butter leave in or use coconut oil (or pantene's r&n oil moisturizer)...still a little lacking in the results i would like.

1. Water/glycerin mix (that's it, no other ingredients whatsoever)
2. Alba Botanica Leave-In.
I tried shea butter and castor oil, and they worked for a while, but now my hair hates anything with even the tiniest bit of shea butter in it and can only handle castor oil when it's in a deep treatment mix and is going to be washed out anyway. From what it seems, my hair can't handle anything heavy, butters or otherwise...

Qhem's Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee and Miss Jessies Curly Buttercreme. I actually prefer Qhem over MJ not just because of price, because it smells and WORKS better.
I've been experimenting with Aloe vera juice based products, but they suck for MY hair.
It all depends on what you're looking for, I guess. Too much moisture weighs my hair down and can frizz it up.

Aubrey Organics honeysuckle rose conditioner. I deep condition with this once a week.
I spritz daily with water with a little essential oil added.
Qhemet Burdock Root Butter Creme at least every other day.
Also I co-wash instead of shampoo. Most shampoos have sulfates, surfactants and other chemicals that are drying to the hair.
There are so many products that add moisture and help retain it like castor oil and other oils that seal in moisture, shea butter, glycerin, honey, aloe vera, commercial moisturizers, old fashioned water water water. You just have to keep workin to find what works for you!
