    WHOA. It depends on the hair type. Wetting certain areas of my hair (the front) in twists results in a meshing nightmare. When I started my locs, I was hesitant to wash my hair b/c I knew once I wet it, there was no turning back.

    WHOA + NO MA'AM! For my hair water also promotes meshing and tangling. This is really why I don't co-wash and rinse my twists that often. If I want my detangling session to be as stress free as possible I don't wet my twists, and I retwist my hair immediately after washing before the tangles get a chance to dry and "set".

    thank you- I noticed after a while of twisting- my hair tangled on it's on too much... and nothing helped it detangle the longer it got...
