I've only heard mention of bacteria if you use water straight from the tap.

When I've used water in my homemade hair products, I use distilled, spring or boiled tap water.

I live in Richmond and I get all of my essential oils from the Flea Market on Jahnke Road. There's a lady in the back who has a booth full of essential oils. I just bought five little bottles for $14. Every oil I named, she had. Give her a try. Plus, she is very resourceful.

    Ooohh----

    My spray bottle consists of:
    Bottled Purified Water
    EVOO
Peppermint Oil ~ I love the tingling feeling it gives my scalp
Coconut Oil ~ My favorite scent in the world.

I spray in the morning right after I wash/rinse my locs and spray after work for an evening uplift.

I want to try and make my own though, cause it can be costly and waiting for the item to ship is a pain.
That's why I buy more than one bottle with a coupon code and store the extras in the fridge. I don't like to be without it, and by diluting it with aloe vera juice, I can make it last much longer.
