i have a big fro...but I know there are some ladies up here with WAAAAAYYY bigger hair...I cant wait to see them enter!

Maybe so, but I want lots of people to show off their 'fros no matter what size.

I was so shocked when they contacted me, and knew that I couldn't let anyone else do this... no one else respects the 'fro like we do!

I'm sure mine isn't the biggest in the world either, but it's a big fro. I'd enter myself if I could! Don't let that stop you from taking a few pics though.

That said, I have a feeling some of the biggest 'fros could come from somewhere close to your part of the world. Some of those South Pacific Island folks can grow some 'fro...

I'm guessing folks have to be 18 or older...a Kids' Biggest 'Fro would be amazing to see.

I can't get mine to stand up for anything when it's stretched out. Flop city. Shrunken--yes but it shrinks so much it's not big.

I love this because the very characteristics of nappy hair we sometimes fight is what will determine the winner.

Will they be measuring people's fros in real life or is a picture good enough?

Depending on the entries, there may be different categories - male, female... there's no age minimum or maximum but we're waiting to see what happens first. And I agree about the South Pacific. Those Fijians are incredible.

Agree with the bolded part!! That's right!
Nappturality will choose the finalists based on photos and GWR will organize measurements in person to choose the winner.

My hair shrinks too. The best thing to do is to let it dry naturally and shrink then pick it out with a pick. It will stand up, believe me

I don't think Sera is on Nappturality (maybe I am wrong though)....
