    Question Twists and Chlorine

Ok, so I am back again asking questions in advance for when my TWA grows out. (It's a little bigger than in the photo) I jog three times a week and will be starting swimming hopefully twice a week. I think that when my hair starts growing out, I have looots of it I will keep it in tiny twists. I think that this is the best style for me, most versatile cause I can set it and style it etc. like sisterlocs. The problem is that, well after a swim I will obviously need to wash the chlorine out. Can this be done well with the twists left in? Even if I did not swim, jogging alone will require that I wash my hair each week. I sweat horribly in my hair which is one of the reasons I decided to go natural in the first place.

So for those of you with twists, based on your experience what do you think? Can I wash my hair with the twists in and just set and style them after so they don't look horribly fuzzy? I don't want to spend time twisting my hair small to have to re do them each week... no time. Once a month is fine but with weekly washing and the need for proper chlorine removal how will this work out?

Since I am on the move so much sisterlocs are not an option since there aren't certified specialists worldwide.

I would really love your ideas.

saturating your hair first with clean water before you get in the pool will help keep it take in as little chlorinated water as possible.

if your twists come out easily, try washing with a stocking cap over your hair OR braiding several twists up and washing them that way

while i was loose, i would do mini twists, and keep them in for 4-5weeks, and i would do everything i would to to my hair loose. i shampoo and DCed weekly, co-washed offen, full henna and henna glosses. my twists held in. i would curl them, do braid outs, twists outs, flat twists out, i mean everything.

and they look neat. check out my fotki, also check out hamira's fotki. it is possible.

you can even also mini natural braids.

Thanks a lot you guys But do you think that washing with mini twists and braids in will be ok when washing out chlorine or even sea salt?
