I have finally installed my starter locs
My hair was done on July 2nd and I am unable to latch my hair because it hasn't grown out enough. I think my hair is growing out slow in the front and middle of my head because some of my braids have grown out a lot, but many are tight to my head. I wanted to turn to you ladies and gentlemen to see what I could possibly do. Does anyone have any homemade recipes for starter locs?

Are you looking for "growth" recipies?
The only "solution" I could suggest is for you to inspect the locs that have the most growth for slipage, and Latch them.

Well, I would like to know how people with starter locs kept them moisturized, just basic upkeep.

I have half done braidlocs, and I rinse everyday and rub in aloe Vera gel afterwards. This has kept my hair light and soft so far. Whenever my scalp itches I try to spritz with tea tree oil and water (when I remember lol) instead of scratching.
