What to do in Boston in September?
Hi all. I'm going on a trip to Boston at the end of Sept. with my girls. I'm in charge of activities and want to know from some insiders what to do while we are there. We're taking a long weekend and will hopefully take a ferry to Martha's Vineyard one of those days. So let me know-where to eat, any good chill out spots, where are they guys?? We're thinking about getting a rental instead of staying in a hotel. Looking forward to hearing your ideas!

aaaw...I lived in Boston for 5 years and hoping to move back!
Well it depends on what you like doing..
-You can walk around Charles St, they have quaint boutiques...and definitely stop by Cafe Vanille
-Harvard Square is a great place to hang out..as well as Davis Square
-You can catch a movie at the MFA, the museum of fine arts.. I think by the end of the month , they have local filmmakers showing their movies..it should be fun..
-You can hang out at North End which is the italian neighborhood. Definitely stop by Mike's Pastry
good places to eat: Scoozi on Newburry St, Cafe Algiers on Harvard Square, Greenfields Churrascaria in Allston near BU...it is a brazilian restaurant..I am not sure whether it is closed...you might want to double check.
If it is closed Midwest Grill on Cambridge st is another alternative..'
hope that helps

Thanks for the info. Is Martha's Vineyard going to be too long of a day trip from Boston?

Whale watching. That is imo the best attraction Boston has to offer. I just got back from over there and honestly, just walking downtown was entertainment for me. I also took advantage of outdoor gun ranges. Those are quite scarce in my area. Indoor ones are what's popular.
