I have been locking for almost ten years and I am still looking for the holy grail of products. What seems to work is sulfate-free shampoo and olive oil. Be aware that some sulfate-free shampoos are drying, so it may take time to find one that's right for you.

I agree that you are using too much. I used too much the first time I mixed it in with my aloe vera. I used the same amount I probably would have with any other oil, but I think because it's so thick you really don't need much at all. You may want to mix the oil in with something else in a bowl first (water, aloe, etc.) and then distribute it through your hair.
Sorry I missed this.
My locs feel soft as in they don't feel rough and coarse. I think many times once locs mature they feel 'hard' and not 'spongy' because the hair has compacted. But I am saying my hair was dry and thirsty, and now that I have used jbco, my hair doesn't feel and look thirsty anymore. So I guess the answer to your question is yes...God Bless!

I use it in my spritz after I wash my locz. I'll spritz my babies with a mixture of aloe vera juice, coconut oil, jojoba oil and spring water (I don't rinse afterward). My babies really, really love the combination.
OP, I do a hot oil treatment everytime I wash my hair. For some...oil doesn't work...for me my babies can not do with out it. My hair stays soft for days....Thank you, Jah!!!! Thank you!!!!
I updated my picture album here on NP ya'll. Year 4! What a blessing to be a loc sistah!

One thing I have just ordered is a shower filter. I have been meaning to do this for a whole year as I feel the quality of the London water affects my hair and skin
I am also going to try a penetrative hot oil treatment

Hey
Sorry just seen this. I ordered it from www.pureshowers.co.uk
I got the adaptor which was a bit of a mistake as it is a bit fiddly.
