Are your closest friends naturals?

I'm still in college, so my closest black girlfriends are getting relaxed and sewn up religiously. I do as of this year now have about 2-3 natural friends and it's such a relief. We share information and recommend products and tips to each other. But rant mostly. So I want to know, who has the luxury of having close natural friends? Who has none?

I have ONE! She wigs it mostly. I'm impressed she's remained natural for this length of time and her amount of growth and retention. The rest of my friends are true to the chems.

My friends are STRAIGHT weave heads....almost convinced one to come to the light..but she backed out after a couple months no perm...

I have one natural, she's worn her hair out only once. Other than that, it's tracks and wigs. She's never really taken the time to learn her hair so we really don't have much to discuss.

Yep, my bestest friend has locs, the other 2 are still crack-addicted.

My best friend is white. The others still get perms/weaves. One has been pretty much transitioning for 5 months but she's still in that mindset of her hair being "too nappy" and that whole good hair/bad hair train of thought. She straightens her hair all the time and I think she is slowly "getting it" but she still needs to mentally transition as well in order to end up going successfully 100% natural in my opinion.

The others may get relaxers as couple times per year and some do nothing but weave it up. They all have to get there on their own time. I just try to be the example.

A few facebook friends have sent me pms asking about going natural so that's good.

I'm the only one of my friends who is natural but alot of them want to go natural but they dont want to go the BC route and when they try to let their hair grown it they tend to fall back into a perm regimen after a few months. However, I did meet this one @ church on sunday who was natural going on 4 months now. Her hair texture look sto be very similar to my own and it makes me happy about the potential my hair has.
