Oh wow! Your daughter is almost 20???!?!? Time flies (and so does our hair).

She says she will never not be loc'd, lol. She's cut them into an assymetrical bob a couple years ago and grew it back out, now it's to the middle of her back. She says she will let them grow to her butt maybe and then poaaibly take them down and start a thicker new set.

five years back on the first week of september.
man...these thangs have been through the most on the past five year. cuts, damage, trims, picked apart, stitched together, trimmed again, stitched four more times, dried out, brought back to life, and trimmed one more time. they've gone through everything but a dye job and giving and completely falling out. lol
and knowing how i am they'll go through five more years of good times.

I'm 5 years in. I've always wanted to shave my head, so I don't think I'll be a dread forever.

Well, I am at 8 years cruising to 9 and I have no intentions of ever cutting my hair. I have trimmed it and of course did some loc maintenance, but I will never jump ship, I am in it for the long haul.

I've been locking for twelve years. I took the first set down to get Sisterlocks, which I kept for three years. I've had a lot of hair loss, so I don't have a lot of length. My hair texture causes the roots to thin out. What's left of them are turning into Rasta dreads because I do very little maintenance at the roots. My hair can't take it.

I do not miss loose hair at all, even with all the tips on NP and youtube that were not around when I went natural I am lazy with my hair so locs suit me to a tee.
Well I'm still here, will be 8 years December 12th 2013, will I be a veteran then? I did a cut in April from BSL to SL. The ends were looking dull, and ugly from too much buildup. Still staying locked and still on NP since I'm an internet forum junkie.
