Default Does "being/going" natural stop with just hair?

For those of you who have been chemical free for years (or your entire lives), did at some point you transition to a more natural lifestyle like maybe switching to organic products or being vegetarian?

Transitioners and newly naturals, do you plan on striving for a more natural lifestyle?

I was just thinking about this today as I was washing my hair. I took a look back on my diet today and realized it was just crap! I had all kinds of candy and caffeine. Then I was like how do I expect full progress of my hair during my transition if I'm not going to put the right things in my body?

I'm thinking of "cleaning" up my diet quite a bit and see it's effect on my hair. Naturally I'll have to take baby steps. I have a sweet tooth that is going to be the literal death of me.

Having natural hair just introduced me to more things and I became a lot more open minded but I'm not about to become a vegan or vegetarian and start wearing clothes made from hemp. I'm exercising now and slowly changing my diet but that has nothing to do with my hair, it's about taking better care of myself and I'd be doing it even if I weren't natural.

I became a vegetarian after giving up the chemicals and heat, but not out of some desire to change my life. I simply got tired of being in pain in the scalp area.

I became a vegetarian after seeing some videos that still haunt me.

To me, naturalness is more than just hair though, it's mental as well.

For me going natural hair wise was because of the look, feel, and maintenance of relaxed hair. The knowledge about health came after that and the awareness about socially constructed perceptions of beauty came after that. so no i am not gonna go veg or anything liek that anytime soon.

However. I do like to/want to take care of myself because i have seen the havoc poor health can create. So I am making an effort to drink more water and eat more fresh fruits, vegs. But dont try to make me go to the gym lol

After going natural, I switched to natural products for my hair and skin. I also became a vegetarian. I am currently working on being more eco-friendly and excercising more. Going natural has opened my eyes and is more than "just hair" for me.

It was the opposite for me, I stopped eating red meat about 17years ago, stopped perming my hair 5 years ago and took my diet up a notch to the vegan status this year. It was a complete change for me. This is not just hair for me.

I've been continuously natural since 1996. For me, the answer is "no."

I was actually a vegetarian years before I went natural, so I'm not sure.

And a more natural lifestyle was not on my mind when I "went natural" it came about after the fact
