My First Protective Style!!!! - Ms-GG
I am currently 4.5 months into being 100% natural and would like to announce that I will be performing my first REAL protective style!!!!!!!!
I've been looking and looking and looking for a style to do on my TWA, but I can't really do flat twists (going to learn-my friend who has recently BC'd like a month ago did a headband flatwist design on her hair and I was SO jealous!!!!)
I had tried earlier tried a twist-out but it wasn't defined and felt dry after a couple of days. But I figured if I'm going to spend 2+ hours on a style, let it be a protective style that I can keep in longer and just spritz daily to keep moisture in.

Cant wait to c ur hair. Dont stress over dryness. Hair that is short and very curly will naturally dry out after a few days. The longer ur hair gets the easier to retain the moisture.
Mango Smoothie...try one.

Super, girl I know your hair is going to be fierce!!!! Can't wait to see your twists
I wish I could give you advice on moisturizing your hair but I am still perfecting my winter routine as well But spritzing everyday does help a lot a long with covering your hair when you go outside! Good luck on your search.

OK Guys!!!! I did it!!!
I will post the pics from the hairstyle as soon as my internet stops acting funky (I'm at work right now )
Mine are a bit bigger than Ms-GG's because I got lazy towards the end and honestly started off bigger than I realized after I went and look.
However, they did turn out well and I'm still currently wearing them. I did them on damp hair using ONLY shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie. I must say that it NEVER worked for my wash-n-go's but it DOES work quite well for twists.
I am going to put some oil and water together today and spritz it and see if it lasts towards to the end of the week and we'll see from there! *YAY*BC'd: July 20, 2010
