    Default New2 tha Natural

I want to go natural soooo bad...but i have always been scared to cut my hair. I think i have to be one of the most conscious people about my short hair...I've never liked it. I dont know what to do...I did however just cut it but i did a bad thing by putting a texturizer in it...I must be crazy right? no...just under-educated on how to care for my hair.....PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Hi, welcome to Nappturality. I know that cutting your hair can be scary, but you are in the right place to learn to care for your natural hair. My advise is to read the discussion boards, look at lots if hair albums, read about other people's experiences, and realize that you are not alone. You can transition out of the texturizer and you will be growing your own hair in no time.

You don't HAVE to cut your hair. You can go for a few months or maybe even years w/out cutting off all of your thin ends.

Of course you will have to trim every few monnths or so. You can go at your own speed.

    Good luck on your journey!

That is the reason it took me so long to finally transition.... I thought my hair had to be cut off & I just didn't want to do that! Luckily you don't have to cut it off... You can do a long transition until your hair grow out to a comfortable length & then cut the relaxed or texturized ends off or cut them off a little at a time as you go. Then you can choose styles that you like that will ease you through your transition.

how do you wear your hair now?
