Challenge: Three Months of Thrifty

So, I was on http://livingflyonadime.com/ and she's been doing a personal shopping challenge where she will only buy second hand clothes for a whole year. I could never commit to a year off of ideeli, out of a mall or boutique but I can commit to three months.

Start Date: Jan 1st or anytime
Rules: Shop only second hand (thrift, vintage, consignment)
-My personal rule: I don't like buying shoes second hand so I will allow myself to buy new shoes but only if they are at a discount of at least 50%.
-When you get a chance post your finds.

I'd like to join this challenge and I'm going to start of Jan 1.

I always buy new undies every quarter, so those will be new and I don't like buying used shoes either. Other than that, I'm excited to see what I can come up with during the challenge. This will be fun!

YaY!!! ^^^Yes. I will definitely buy new undies.

I forgot to add the the goal of this challenge is to expand my creative eye and to save some money.

Also, this includes accessories and you can make your own clothes and accessories during this challenge as well.

I really want to do this challenge, because I already love shopping at thrift stores... but I don't want to stop shopping at other places at the moment. I'll have to join this challenge later. Can I still post my thrift store finds?

I rarely shop for clothes, shoes, and household stuff. If I do, it's always a clearance or severly mark down item.

My tip I would like to contribute is DON'T be afraid to negioate the price down on a slightly "defective" item at a garage sell, thrift store, or regular department store. From time to time, you'll get some great deals. I got a ten dollar dressy blouse for five bucks because I found a teeny tiny stain that was washable inside of the sleeve. lol
