Default I'm Now Completely Natural! [Pics]

So I went and had the straight ends cut off (today) after 14 months of no lye. The stylist didn't know much about natural hair and did a few odd things...like use a fine tooth comb (my hair is super thick and coarse) and use sulfate shampoo. Overall she did a nice job, but had a lot of trouble LOL. My actually looks kind of the same as before to me. I also tired castor oil and it smelled really bad and didn't do any thing. I used this kind http://www.roshini.net/images/produc..._castorOil.jpg is it the wrong kind? Also it's now 6 hours later and my hair is dry (which is a first for me because usually it feels good for almost a week before it gets to this point). Is it okay if I wash it tomorrow without taking out the flat twists? Thank you so much everyone!

If you wash it make sure to not rub the flat twists too much or they'll get frizzy. I would try spritzing it with water and/or putting on some moisturizer before attempting to wash it though. The style came out really nice.

    wow congrats!!

your hair looks really lush and healthy so i'm sure you got the "right" kind of castor oil .

you should be fine washing the flat twists, just concentrate on massaging the parted sections and just kinda gently squishing the flat twists. rinse well and use a t-shirt to soak up excess moisture.

That is the type of castor oil I use (I also have the JBCO from Island Living). I got that one from walmart in the laxative section and I paid around $2 for it. The JBCO I had to order online and I pais $10.99 for it. I haven't noticed a difference between the two.
