I only cleanse maybe once a week if I can remember. I do enjoy the way my skin feels, but I am also having a small breakout. I am contributing this to the cleanse because I NEVER breakout unless it's that TOTM.

I'm using 75% EVOO and 25% castor oil. I'll have to work on making sure I'm steaming it long enough. I normally put the hot cloth on my face twice and KIM. I focus on doing that more often and see if it helps.

Maybe the EVOO is too heavy for your skin, Angel? If you have another oil, like jojoba, maybe you could try that.

A friend of mine swears by Vitamin E oil. She puts it right on the dark spots.

You may be right nickib. I'll try using some jojoba oil the next time I cleanse.

And, I love your new avi!

I've been considering this for awhile, so I'm going to jump in. I know someone whose family imports organic EVOO, so I'm going to buy some of his stuff and mix is with castor oil from Whole Foods or, if it's okay for oil cleansing, JBCO.

My skin isn't bad. I just want to find a better and more natural way to keep things going well. I've streamlined my hair routine and body routine. Now I need to streamline the routine for my face (it's already pretty simple). I just think oil cleansing will help keep me aging nice and slow.

Just a couple of notes - there's no need to use any kind of toner with this method, it defeats the purpose.

Also someone mentioned using sunflower oil? That's probably why you're breaking out - try using the recommended CO and EEVO mix, you may need to adjust the ratios to suit your skin. I use two thirds EEVO and one third castor oil.

Sunflower oil is the recommended oil from OCM.com.

I just got a big bottle of organic Italian olive oil delivered to me yesterday. I went to Whole Foods and got the regular castor oil. I just didn't want to chance using JBCO because mine is the lavender one. It was HOT when I got home last night. I was exhausted too. I waited and did it this morning. Wow!

My skin feels great. Like I said, things calmed down for me in terms of problems years ago. I just wanted something to deep clean naturally and cost-effectively. This is definitely it. My skin feels great. Now lets see what the purging phase will be like for me. I hope it will be balanced because my skin problems were mostly when I was in my teens/early 20s.

I love that link. That's the one that really got me seriously considering using the OCM.

I have found the OCM is too much of a deep clean for me to often. My skin felt clean but also tight and a bit dry (much like when I used a product with too much salicylic acid). It's still in my routine but only once a week or when I have been wearing makeup.

The rest of the time I've been cleaning my face with aloe vera juice, followed by a drop of my OCM mix or Vitamin E oil. IT IS SO GOOD!
