I'm getting paranoid about bullying in schools. All these stories make me want to keep my child at home and have him take classes on line although I have always wanted him to go to a public school. My son is only 3, but there is a kid in his daycare that is kind of "ring leader" and my son thinks the world of him. I already see this little boy's shenannigans and I don't like how he treats my son sometimes. I can already tell he is manipulative and mean spirited. Sure its just "kids being kids" but still, I don't like it. I'm trying not to say my true feelings to this little 3 or 4 yr old little boy but part of me wants to so bad and give him a piece of my mind...I know that is all kinds of wrong but I can't help it! I wonder what his parents say to him at home or if they even realize how he is.
I hope my son will be a leader, not a follower, as he gets older. I hope he understands what I'm saying when I explain to him what a friend does and does not do so he'll learn to stay away from these borderline bullying kids.

I wish this baby would start crying again when she wakes up instead of trying to crawl off the bed. Maybe I should invest in a crib. But I like cosleeping. Sigh...

Wow....just reading a thread about a 5y/o girl that hates her hair and here my son is at 5y/o doing everything he can to avoid getting a hair cut cuz he wants to have hair like Jaden Smith. I wish that mother the best, the way children pick up messages about what is beautiful and the way boys and girls are socialized is scary.

A couple mamas and I met up at this cool coffee house in NE Portland that had a really nice playroom and I was so impressed with how nicely my son and all the boys (plus one girl) played together. They are kind of at that stage where there are still doing the parallel play, but kind of want to interact too a little bit. It was too cute. And we mamas got a chance to chill, drink coffee or tea, and talk. It was nice!

My "baby" got her driver's license yesterday. Hubby posted that Subaru commercial on his FB wall (the one where the dad is leaning through the passenger window talking to his daughter who appears to be 4 or 5 and is sitting in the driver's seat...at the end of the commercial, there's a teen girl sitting there & driving away).
Had me all teary-eyed.~~Started Locks (2STs): April 20, 2006~~
