Parenting random thoughts
How sad is it that I go into stealth mode to check on my daughter when she's napping. She has the uncanny ability to pop her head up every time you open her door even if it's so quiet you can hear a pin drop. So mommy has developed the uncanny ability to drop to the floor or hide when that little head pops up. Yall wouldn't believe the things I do to get her to take a nap longer than 15 minutes. Yea, I know i'm a mess, don't judge.
ETA, one time I tried to use "the force" she caught me before I could drop out of sight so i stood still hoping the "you didn't see anything" would work....uh obviously it didn't. (don't suppose anyone has that GIF from Madagascar?)Last edited by naturallyreborn217; 01-24-2011 at 03:39 PM.

Hahahah that's funny. My daughters are 10 and 11 (12 next month) and i still go into stealth mode when I check on them asleep. I DON'T want them to wake up and start talking...

I go in stealth mode too! I wear bracelets so I always push them up my arm so they wont make any noise and the other night I completely forgot to bring them down before I went to bed and I woke up with a pretty deep scratch down my forearm and it was kinda black and blue...lol

From my 10 Year old daughter: What's your bracelet for?
Me: It's a breast cancer awareness bracelet
Her: Does it say I love boobs?
Me: UHHHHH huh? NO girl! It says Hope-Faith-Courage
who says that?!?!?! lolBC: 1/11/11

I definitely go into stealth mode when checking on my daughter. She will be 2 years old next Friday and she will take a nap for about 1-2 hours once a day if some noise doesn't wake her up.
