    Default Curling locs

When you curl your locs, do you put gel or setting lotion to help them last longer? Do you use straws, pipe cleaners, or rollers?

Damp hair, no gel or lotion. I have used pipe cleaners, soft spikes curlers and braid-outs.

If I don't do right after a wash I spritz it w/water and use Taliah Waajid Crinkle and Curl product which is essentially styling mousse. I've used pipe cleaners but as it's grown out to about should length I use the orange perm rods.

Do pipe cleaners no longer work for you now that your hair has grown?

My hair is past my shoulders but the pipe cleaners still do an awesome job for me.

I dampen my hair and use mousse with pipe cleaners. I think I would DIE if I had to sleep on rollers. I can barely sleep on the pipe cleaners.

My setting lotion is 1tsp of honey diluted with 8-12 oz H2O in a spray bottle. I typically spray this on damp clean hair.

I use soft spikes, satin covered sponge rollers, and my new fav loc twist out. I twist four locs and then use a small black rubberband at the bottom. I have actually worn this style out too. The resulting crimp pattern fits my hair better than the braidout. It's faster too. If your locs are larger use two, if smaller use six.
