Buying Power of Black America Report

I've been working on this mock business plan assignment for my small business class, but the more I get into it the more excited I am about doing this for real. However I have been having a tough time finding trust worthy data on black consumers until I came across this:

Have any of you bought and read the report. Can you attest to the usefulness and credibility of the statistics and what kind of other information the report provides? I was hoping to get some reviews first before I put myself out there and spend $100 on this thing. Also, can anyone suggest other (READ: cheaper) sources of info regarding black spending habits?
