What do you know about head lice?

I have been wondering for a long time where does head lice come from? Have you ever heard of an African-American having head lice? I was in a doctor's office one day and saw one of my caucasion classmates and she said to me in a conversation that locs are dirty and they have parasites within them, I wanted to say and what do you know about locs to even have this subject of discussion,but I was in a good mood, so I let her travel with her own ignorance, but she did piss me off. Please give me your take on this subject.

Head lice can live on in most hair types but is most often found in caucasions with bone straight blond hair.

It spreads by sharing things with people who have lice, like brushes, hair accessories, clothing, hugging a person with head lice.

That is not true about dred locks, it is about personal hygiene. And even if someone does not wash or comb their hair, that does not mean they will get lice. Lice comes with contact with persons who have it because it is a paracite organism that jumps from host to host and lays eggs in the hair.

There are different species of head lice. Since America is predominantly Caucasian, the head lice here are the species adapted to their hair. Go to an African country, and head lice is just as much a problem there despite the grease hairdresses, hotcombing, and hair relaxing.
