I think I have SD and sisterlocks has been the way to go for me. I can wash when I need and not much unraveling when I braid and band. I say get interlocks or save up for sisterlocks.

Yeah I was considering just using a portion of my tax refund to get sisterlocks, but maintain them myself by interlocking. That would probably be the best route for me. I didn't think palm rolling would be a good idea, like the loctitian suggested, since my hair would be shampooed so often. Thanks!

for shampoo, I just use Selsun Blue, which feels refreshing against the itch, but only on the scalp (I don't usually dilute it or use it to shampoo my actual locs) I follow the directions, then rinse and shampoo with my other stuff, that smells better, Also, tea tree and lavender EOs work really well to refresh the scalp, and clear the flakes.
Thank you for this thread
