Out of the shadows

Hi Napptural Community,

I've been lurking for quite a while, but I think it's time to come out of the shadows. I was relaxed for >20yrs and never gave a second thought to why I was assaulting my scalp every 8wks until my daughter came along. I took one look at her little head of hair and just knew I would never relax it. Unfortunately, the very next thought was that I had absolutely no idea how to care for natural hair. After a few false starts on the poor girl's hair, I decided to practice on myself, especially as about the same time I realized I couldn't come up with one good reason why I was relaxing my own hair. I then began my quest for knowledge that led me to this site, where I have learnt a whole lot, and my daughter's hair thanks you all very much. My last relaxer was 10/2/10, then my hubby was nice enough to take it all off with his clippers on 1/7/11. I'll be around, drooling over all the beautiful napp snaps!
