Salt Water...who knew??
For my loc'ers that live near the beaches! I had a great day at the beach yesterday for Memorial Day weekend. Just got right in the water and let those salt water waves wash all over my locks. I once heard that salt water is good for locks, but I didn't expect it to have such a great result. After getting out the water, I let my hair air dry and I still haven't washed the salt water out. My hair is thicker, the locks are tighter and the lock process has advanced a little. Some of the locked guys at the beach were saying its a really good thing and that my hair will lock faster if I leave the salt water in. One even told me he usually brings a jug so he can take some of it home. Who knew?? Lol! I Love it!!

Interesting I've heard this as well! I got some sea salt in my kitchen maybe I should try this someday. Only thing is I don't know if I should wash it out after I do it or rinse my hair then do the sea salt soak and leave it in, I'm confused lol But I'm glad it worked for you!

I've heard this before and seen some threads on it. I've also heard that it can dry your locs out so be careful with it.

I only did the salt water thing at home in the kitchen. My skin got highly irritated and felt like it was burning. But I'd love to go to the beach and learn if natural salt water gives a different result.

I go to the beach often. I was locked in a matter of a few months. I think its true what they say for the salt water. I also got beautiful color as a result of swimming at the beach the summer I got my locs.
