    I like your comparison to the sidewalk KnappyAuthor, I'm thinking along the same lines, more surface area = more area for moisture to evaporate from. May the coarseness is what makes it less suseptable to heat damage and mechanical damage in general.

    Mineral oil is not the best product on the market, but your hair is not going to start falling out. People used grease and pink lotion YEARS before all of this return to "natural." If it works, use it.

    Its simple less is more. If you wash your hair thoroughly and use limited product your hair will thrive. Light spray with olive oil or any essential oil will do. You do not have to saturate your hair too death. Remember your scalp produces its own oil. Mineral oil to me would hinder that natural action of one's scalp.

    Well there are a lot of natural products out there make sure it is sulfate free becauce sulfate strips the hair!! And what debrahg said is true alot of stuff is in your kitchen i have been natural for 6months and im still amazed at wat extra virgin olive oil can do

    if i mix a little pink oil with a lot of water, will that be less harmful for my hair?
