Well i cowashed last night and let my mom braid my fro i have twa so its typ short but i love it bump the haters...lolz

Trying to get the hang of the chunky 'fro...it's gotten a few compliments but I feel like I'm walking a fine line between "hot" and "HAM." Maybe it's my age? I need some advice. More later...

I am writing this letter to apologize for my abusive behavior. For years, I pushed you, pulled you, doused you with chemicals, and forced you into situations that were detrimental for the both of us. Fed up with my abuse, you left me. I was distraught and wondered what I could do to get you back. After months of begging and pleading, the Lord answered my prayers and you came back to me. I swore to never mistreat you again. I was so happy to have you back in my life.
I thought that you and nappturality would be a match made in heaven. I read numerous books and articles to find out exactly what you needed to prosper. I would massage, moisturize, and seal your delicate ends. You had not been in good shape like this since your childhood. I slowly began to neglect you. Days would go by without a good massage. Daily moisturizing faded to an impatient weekly slathering of whatever was handy. Then came ‘protective styling’. I would tuck you securely under my wig cap and forget about you. For five months I left you alone to suffer under the guise of protection. Alas, here we are: you, once again, neglected and fragile; me, once again, full of despair and hope that we can reconcile our differences.
I am only human and will make mistakes from time to time. However, I want you to know that I have thrown my wigs out. I will never again hide you in the name of protecting you. You are much too beautiful to be hidden by artificial waste. And do not fret, I will never, ever, allow you back on the creamy crack. Please, stay. I know we can work this out.

Awww, that's such a nice letter to your hair.

The girl in the bank with the natural hair had such a cute style today! It was just too cute! It was in some secure, neat twists and the front half and sides were in twists to the scalp (like cornrows but in twist form), and then the back was in twists but all out, and then she had the ends curled. I really liked the style. In addition to that, her hair color is black and brown and in the twists the color made cool swirling patterns. I was SO tempted to ask her if she'd let me take a picture of her pretty hair.

i havent been here in sooo long!

i had the most beautiful twist out ever yesterday. i hope i'll be able to replicate it...but i feel like the next attempt will not live up to the greatness of the last.
