Rounding out year numero uno
Hey all... so I'm coming to end of my first year (started my locs on 6/21/10) to be exact and am truly impressed with how much progress my hair has made... i can't see myself ever reverting to a relaxer, or taking my locs down for that much. That said... I have a new "loc goal." In another post, I mentioned that I have a patch that is broken. It's always been the same patch to act up perm, or no perm. I did a stretch where I didn't retwist for a longer period of time than normal, and finally gave in because I felt like having my hair twisted for graduation. I would now like to see how long I can go without retwisting. Not really calling in freeforming because I plan on retwisting eventually (maybe lol)... I would like to try to nurse this patch back to health and I think the NO MANIPULATION plan will help.
What are some of your hair goals?

Congratulations.
My goal is still to be able to do a full ponytail. That's about it.

Use less oil. I think alot of oil can clog your follicles.
Wash less. This will be hard for me.
I want to get to where I do alot of rinse out instead of leave ins. I think that I am cloginig my follicles alot. I am trying to find a way to moisturize with a rinse out. Not leave in.

To get more length. I want to be at APL, and then BSL. Otherwise my hair regimen is perfectly simple and I love it.

To keep my hands out of my hair! I love the way my Sisterlocks feel, and I've been told that all that handling can hinder their progression. I try to keep my hands off, but they have a mind of their own!

Just to gain length.
Natural for 10 years and still loving it!
