Planning on digging up the garden this weekend and trying the collards again. Although, yesterday when returning from my walk I noticed that the wild pigs have come into my complex. Wonder how long before they discover the community garden?

Went out over the weekend and brought and planted collards, lettuce and cabbages. Everything is coming up and looking lovely ! Now we just have to hope that the wild hogs don't come into the garden...lol.

Finally had to go out and get rid of all the tomato vines. Tomatoes were still coming in and I've had enough. It's about to get cold and they won't ripen in time. Next year, only two vines instead of 5.

    BUMP!!!

I'm bumping this thread early for two reasons:

    1. I'm excited because this is the first time in over 10 years that I get to do some outdoor gardening!!
    2. I like to start my plants indoor from seeds so I have to do a lot of early planning and gathering of supplies over the next couple of months.

Who else is gardening in 2014?

Years ago when I had my big house and big yard, I seriously studied gardening and horticulture.

I'm thinking about starting an "urban gardening" blog? Should I or shouldn't I? Anyone think folks would be interested?
