SHRINKAGE!!! Sometimes I just want it to go away. Other times I lubs me some shrinkage. Today is just not the day of love.

So after three days of disapproving, stubborn silence on the matter--my father finally decided to comment on my highlights.

Me: I went to visit the non-profit I worked at last summer. My supervisor out-the-blue offered to write me a recommendation if I ever needed one! Isn't that nice?

Dad: Yep. She must think highly of you....I don't. Not with that garbage in your hair.

I kind of annoys me when people announce that they're relaxing their hair in the midst of a bunch of natural heads. IDK if it's a preemptive thing because they know what folks will say/think when they come back with straight hair, if they want people to talk them out of it, they're trying to convince themselves or what. Usually I'm the quiet person that keeps it moving but next time I'm going to ask if they're going to the salon or using a box perm or some other silly question, LOL.

I've come to dislike the term "creamy crack". It's always used in conjunction with belittling those who choose to perm their hair. Especially when it's used by a chick 2 months into transition. Just because you shaved all your hair off and your 1/2 inch of natural hair is poking from your head doesn't make you better than anyone, girl sit down.
